Giving Half a Billion to Veteran Causes
The Home Depot Foundation
On July 10th, 2019 nearly 100 Volunteers from The Home Depot stores in the San Diego area came to The Inner North Star PTSD Retreat Center for an incredible day of giving. With a donation of nearly $ 50,000 in materials, this amazing group transformed the property to a level that is indescribable. None of this would have been possible if it weren’t for The Poway Home Depot Store Manager, J.P. Torres and his belief in the vision of this retreat center, and his drive and motivation to see this through. There are no words of gratitude that can not be stated to the degree they are felt from me, Michelle Dutro, and from every veteran and first responder who comes here.

There is no way in the world we could have pulled off Home Depot Day without the continual support from Joe Liggett of JL Concrete. He not only worked tirelessly for weeks to get ready for this day, donated all of his time that day, but has been here non-stop finishing all of the amazing projects that The Home Depot Foundation funded. There is simply no one better for concrete, decks, or anything construction related – who has more integrity and commitment to excellence than Joe Liggett.
